The powdered form of dried moringa leaves.
Moringa is a tropical tree which is drought resistant and grows up to 14 m tall.
Our moringa powder is pure and mechancially ground from dried leaves.
The trees grow wild in Northern Ghana and are tended by a women's co-operative.
Dried moringa leaves are high in protein, minerals and vitamins (especially vitamin C) which is why the powder and the dried leaves have important nutritional values to people in countries that are hit by droughts and famine. Moringa is also known for its many medicinal uses.
Our supplier has set up a training program for teachers, doctors and villagers in 2010 where people learn how to harvest and dry moringa leaves and use them as food additives. The aim is to produce moringa leaf powder in large quantities for use in nutritional programs i.e. low cost, wide spread availability and acceptance of moringa as a food additive.
We offer moringa powder as a face pack. Due to its high mineral and vitamin content, when mixed with hydrolat or water and applied to the face and neck the powder can have a positive effect on skin conditions. It clears the skin and leaves it ready for the application of creams and ointments.
Net weight: 100 grams.
To Use: mix 1 tbsp of moringa powder with 2 tbsp of warm water or hydrolat. Apply the mixture to clean skin and leave for 5 minutes then wash off with with lukewarm water. Follow with a toner and a lotion or cream.
Note: if you have very sensitive skin, conduct a patch test before applying the face pack. It may tingle and redden the skin but the reaction will subside within 20 minutes of washing the face pack off.
